A January 6, 2005 Watertown Daily Times story, reported that the Nature Conservancy acquired 19,960 acres of Adirondack timberlands in the Northeastern Adirondacks from Canadian forest products company Domtar Industries for $6.26 million. The State of New York purchased that same property from the Nature Conservancy last week for $9.8 million.
